SR-9011
SR-9011 is a research drug developed by Professor Thomas Burris of the Scripps Research Institute. It acts as an agonist for Rev-ErbAα and has a half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 790 nM for Rev-Erbα and an IC50 of 560 nM for Rev-ErbAβ. This medicine is mainly used for research into the regulation of the circadian rhythm and its possible implications for the immune system, inflammatory processes and cancer.
SR-9011 belongs to the second generation of Rev-ErbA activators and is present in high concentrations in various tissues such as the liver, skeletal muscle, adipose tissue and brain.
