AC-262 is a research compound developed by Acadia Pharmaceuticals and acts as a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM). Chemically, it exhibits endo-exo isomerism, with the endo form being the biologically active form.

Working and properties

AC-262 acts as a partial agonist of the androgen receptor with a binding affinity (Ki) of 5 nM. Additionally, it shows no significant affinity for other investigated receptors.

In animal studies, AC-262536 showed a maximum anabolic effect that is approximately 66% of the action of testosterone, with only about 27% of the androgenic potential of testosterone. This indicates a high selectivity and possibly favorable safety profile for research applications.
